2017 Transportation Rubric

Notes

  • The 2017 Transportation Challenge requires teams to create a solution and then bring it to the conference for the competition.
  • This year’s event requires each team to use a single Hubsan X4 Mini Quadcopter as the platform for their design. Information about this device is provided in the challenge guidelines. Only the Hubsan X4 Model H107C or H107L will be allowed to compete.
  • If you have any questions about this competition, contact the contest coordinator, Dr. Phil Reed, at PReed@odu.edu.

DESCRIPTION

The TEECA Transportation Contest involves conceptualizing, designing and constructing a transportation device or craft for optimal efficiency. The contest has several variations and can involve concepts associated with air, land, sea, space and/or intermodal transportation. Scoring factors may involve craft performance (i.e., efficiency) in addition to the design documentation and fabrication.

TEAM

Team members MUST be members of an affiliated TEECA university. Each transportation team will consist of 2-5 students. The team may be composed of no more than 40% graduate students. A maximum of one transportation team may enter from each institution at each TEECA Regional Conference and the annual ITEEA Conference.
